Every plan now carries a larger monthly allowance of AI messages. Basic has twice what it had, Plus three times, Lab six times and Pro nearer seven. Nothing else about the plans has moved: prices, pages, Telescope, Viva Prep, reviews by Alfred and plagiarism checks are as they were.

## What the pricing page says now

The pricing page no longer quotes a number of messages. Each plan says how much more it gives than the plan below it: Plus has twice the messages of Basic and no daily ceiling, Pro four times those of Plus, and Lab three times those of Pro, shared by the group. The exact count is on the usage meter in the app, where it has always been, and the [plans and billing](/docs/v1.x/plans-and-billing) page lists every allowance in full.

## Why

Answering a question costs us less than it did, and we would rather pass that on as room to work than keep it. Every allowance is set against what a month of full use costs to run, so these are limits we can keep, not a tap we will have to turn down later.
