# A much better experience on your phone

Alfred Scholar now works properly on mobile. Every page in the app has been reworked for small screens, so you can check your library, read reviews, and chat with Alfred from your phone without fighting the layout.

## What changed

- A new bottom navigation bar puts Home, Library, Chat, and Write one tap away, with everything else behind a "More" button.
- Your document library shows as easy-to-tap cards on phones instead of a cramped table. The trash works the same way.
- Page headers are compact on small screens, so content starts higher on the page.
- Buttons no longer run off the edge of the screen, and pagination controls fit on one line.
- Citations, manuscripts, peer reviews, and plagiarism pages all restack cleanly on narrow screens.
- Settings now has a swipeable navigation row on phones instead of a long list you had to scroll past.
- The "works best on desktop" notice is gone - because it is no longer true.

## What stays the same

The desktop experience is unchanged. Deep work like writing manuscripts and annotating PDFs is still best on a large screen, but reviewing and staying on top of your research now travels with you.
