The Ask Alfred pill at the bottom right of Second Brain, Citations, My documents, and the manuscript editor is now Alfred himself: a small graduate in a mortarboard with an amber tassel. He sits in the same place and opens the same Alfred you already use.

## What he does

- **Opens Alfred.** Select him, or press Cmd+J (Ctrl+J on Windows and Linux), and Alfred opens beside your work.
- **Stays out of your way.** At rest he only blinks now and then, so he never pulls your eye while you read or write.
- **Says when he is ready.** Point at him and he looks up, waves, and shows his name and shortcut.
- **Shows he is working.** While an answer is on its way, his eyes scan and his tassel swings at the top of the panel.

If you have reduced motion turned on in your system settings, Alfred keeps still: no blinking, waving, or swinging.
