Equations are now first-class in the manuscript editor, so you can write mathematics without leaving your draft.
What’s new
- Inline and block equations - add an equation inside a sentence, or as a centered display equation on its own line, from the editor toolbar.
- Type LaTeX or build it visually - write LaTeX directly (for example
\frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}) or tap a visual math keyboard for fractions, roots, integrals, sums, and Greek letters. Whichever you prefer. - Click to edit - select any equation to reopen it and make changes, just like the rest of your content.
- Optional equation numbering - turn on numbering for a display equation to get (1), (2), and so on down the right margin, renumbered automatically as you add or remove them.
- Clean export - equations render crisply on screen and carry through to PDF and print.
