When you add a citation in the manuscript editor by looking up its DOI, the paper now goes straight into your citation library, so every source you cite is one you can find, reuse and export later.

## What's new

- **Saved as you cite.** Paste a DOI in the manual citation tab and choose Look up. The details fill in as before, and the paper is saved to your library with its full record.
- **No duplicates.** If the paper is already in your library, Alfred Scholar uses the copy you have and tells you so.
- **Linked, not copied.** The citation you insert points to the entry in your library, so the two stay connected.
- **Still yours to finish.** If a record is missing something a citation needs, such as its title, the details you can get still fill in and you complete the rest by hand.
