Bring your own key just got more powerful.
What’s new
- Two more providers - alongside Anthropic, OpenAI, and Gemini, a workspace owner can now connect Amazon Bedrock (a Bedrock key plus a region) or OpenRouter (one key, hundreds of models).
- Runs every AI feature - your key now powers all of your AI, not only chat: research tools and the writing assists (humanize, expand, grammar, and more) run on it too.
- Choose your model - leave it on Recommended and we pick a model that fits each task, or open Advanced and pin a specific model. On OpenRouter and Bedrock you can type any model ID. You can change the model later without pasting your key again.
Without a key, every plan keeps working as before: quick tasks use a fast, efficient model and heavier tasks use our best one. Embeddings and originality checks always stay on Alfred Scholar’s shared engine.
