# Alfred files your library himself

> Ask Alfred to make a folder, move papers into it or rename one, and it happens as he answers. Deleting, importing and sending still wait for your confirm.

When Alfred learned to [do the work with you](/changelog/alfred-on-every-page/), every change arrived as a card to tap first. That was right for the things that are hard to undo. It was tedious for the things that are not: "put these three into Methods" meant a card for the folder, a tap, another turn, another card, another tap. Filing is now done as you ask for it.

## What happens right away

- **Creating a folder**, at the top level or inside another.
- **Moving papers** into a folder, or back out to the top level, up to fifty at a time.
- **Renaming a folder.**

Alfred says what he did in a sentence, and your library changes behind the conversation as he speaks. Ask for a new folder with these papers in it and both happen in the same turn. Every move follows the same rules as the Library page itself: folders go one level deep, names stay sensible, and nothing crosses into another workspace.

## What still waits for you

Deleting a folder, importing a paper, adding a citation, and anything that sends an email or uses a run from your plan still arrive as a card that says exactly what will happen before you tap. Billing, account security and deleting for good stay yours, as before.

## Only what your role allows

Alfred can file for you only if you could do it yourself. A member whose role cannot create folders will not get a folder from Alfred either; he explains and proposes instead. The check happens at the moment of the change, not once at the start of the conversation.
