A calmer way to sign in

The sign-in and account screens have been redesigned into one quiet study: a theme-aware painting, gentler forms, and a warm greeting, so the very first screen already feels like the scholar's desk.

A calmer way to sign in

The doorway to Alfred Scholar now matches the calm of the workspace behind it. Signing in, creating your account, resetting a password, and confirming your email all share one quiet, focused study instead of a plain form on a blank page.

What changed

  • A theme-aware painting of the research desk sits beside the form and shifts with light and dark mode, so the screen feels warm from the first moment.
  • The form moved to the right and gained more room to breathe, with a soft underline that draws in under the field you are typing in.
  • A greeting reads the time of day (including a quiet “working late” after hours), and a rotating line of scholarly marginalia keeps you company.
  • If a session ends, the sign-in screen now welcomes you back with a clear note rather than dropping you on a cold page.

What stays the same

Everything works exactly as before. This is a visual and comfort refresh only: the same accounts, the same security, nothing to relearn. Motion stays gentle and fully respects reduced-motion settings.
