For departments & institutions
Your institution’s own deployment.
Campus is the whole of Alfred Scholar, running in a cloud account of your own. Your database, your storage, your sign-in rules, and limits set by your agreement rather than by a public price list.

What you get
An instance that answers to you
Everything on the Lab plan, plus the parts an institution cannot get from a shared service.
Your own instance
Campus runs as a separate deployment in a cloud account of its own, with its own database and its own file storage. It shares nothing with the public service and nothing with any other institution.
Your own numbers
Seats, daily message allowances, document limits, originality checks and Telescope runs are set per contract rather than fixed by a public price list. They can be raised or lowered later without waiting for a product release.
Your own front door
Sign-ups can be closed entirely, capped at an agreed number of accounts, or restricted to your institution’s email domains. Google sign-in can be switched off so the only way in is the one your IT team approves.
No checkout, anywhere
A licensed instance has no payment screen and no plan upgrade prompts. Nobody in your department is ever asked for a card, because the entitlement comes from the agreement rather than from a subscription.
Originality
Overlap checks that stay inside your walls
This is the one thing a dedicated instance changes in kind rather than in degree.
Your cohort becomes the corpus
On the public service, originality checks compare a manuscript against work from every workspace on the platform. On a dedicated instance the only work on the platform is yours, so the same check becomes a comparison across your own students and your own department.
Student work stays put
Nothing written on your instance is compared against, or visible to, anyone outside it. There is no shared submission archive, and no manuscript leaves the deployment to be checked.
An overlap report, not a verdict
Reports show which passages overlap and where the match came from, so a supervisor can read the evidence and judge it. It is a starting point for a conversation, not a score to act on by itself.
Included
What comes with a Campus agreement
- Seats scaled to your department, with roles for supervisors, researchers and external reviewers
- Central billing and purchase orders, invoiced against your agreement
- Onboarding and training for your team
- Priority support with a direct line
- A named point of contact for your IT and research offices
